When fighting in the Arena the challenger must decide on the arena grounds and the game system to be used. The player being challenged has the right to refuse the challenge so you can't make it too unfair (challenging a Wizard in the Null magic field, for example). On the rules you will have to pick D6 system, Shadowrun or Star Craft system, or D20 system. To convert from SC and SR isn't hard just change how you roll the dice (Example: Instead of rolling the dice to find hits add them together as in Star Craft). Note: if you fight some one with something not even remotely in their world like magic/psi or guns they do get a bonus to avoid the effect. (Seriuosly, how fair would it be otherwise to fight a D&D fighter with a minigun?) Now converting D6 into D20 is going to take some time but I'll adhoc the rules when it comes up.

Do note, we have some TRoS people up on here already. That system is WAY different from D6 or D20, I figure that they would just fight one another and can't much go system-to-system fights.

Yeah, riddle of steel is a bit out on left field comparitively. It's a fun system, but it would take a tremendous effort to convert.

True, but once I get use to the rules I am willing to try.

I'm not even sure its possible, I mean in riddle of steel you could be the equivalent of a level 500 fighter and still die with one swing of a sword from the equivalent of a level 1 sorcerer. Whereas in D20 systems, you could stand a LOT more from before going down.

As I said, I'm willing to try. You have to understand I enjoy making rules so once I understand the rules for RoS I'll try whether its possible or not.

Okay, the easiest way to get Riddle of Steel characters to fight non-RoS characters is to convert them to Star Craft rules and from there convert as needed. I'm looking over The two systems (at least what is posted) and here are the conversions I came up with.
RoS : SC Strength : Strength Agility : Dexterity Toughness : (Toughness - Health, if positive) Resistance Endurance: (Endurance - Health, if positive) Endurance skill Health : Constitution Willpower : (Willpower - Health, if positive) Willpower (Wits + Perception)/2 : Instinct Mental Aptitude : Knowledge Social : Presence 1/4 Magic Pool : Psi (Magic pool - Psi) : Magic skill
And of course your 1/2 weapon skills will be added to your stat to become your normal combat skill.
Skills are a little different. For the most part they will do what they normally do,but the skill rating changes to 10 - Skill rating. Any skill with a 0 can be used with out defallting. The related attribute of each skill will be chosen by the Arena Master at the time of use.

Now the Shadowrun to Star Craft conversion is the simplest of them all. All you do is figure the SR dice pool and add the result as you do for SC and calculate as normal. To figure HP for SR characters, take the max damage amount and multiply by 4. Now for armor, take the Ballistic value and double it to find its AV. Magic works the same, except Psi is added as Counterspelling and the Event Points is calculated from the net result (Spellcasting roll - Opposed roll). With ballistic weapon values you divide its base DV in half then add your AGI to determine its base damage.
