Q:What is the Arena?
A:The Arena is a PvP board.
Q:What game systems are we able to use in the Arena?
A:Any game system on the board.
Q:Can we fight with both characters from different systems?
A:If the game systems are similar enough for it to work. Then yes.
Q:How does the Arena work?
A:You start off with a starting character for the system you're using. From here, you may either arrange a fight with another character, or choose from the NPC fighter pool. The Arena Master plays as the NPC if its an NPC fight, if its a player fight then the other player controls it.
Q:Can I advance my character?
A:Yes, after each arena battle you get to loot your opponents corpse and get a reward decided by the Arena Master. This reward may be anything, EXP, CP, Magic Items, and so forth.
Q:Who is the Arena master?
A:The Arena master is the person who runs the Arena. The exact person has yet to be determined.
Q:What are the rules for the Arena?
A:The same as the forum rules, other than that go nuts.
Q:What happens if my character dies in the Arena?
A:They're gone, bubbyes. This goes for any system, even those with resurrection magic.
Q:Where are the NPC arena challengers?
A:They haven't been put up yet, but they will be clearly marked when they are.
Q:Can I challenge characters currently in a campaign?
A:Yes, however what happens to them in the Arena, stays in the Arena. They get nothing lost or gained from an Arena victory or defeat.
Q:Who should I contact about questions pertaining to the arena?
A:The Arena Master. Until one is assigned, you can ask me.
Q:Are there ranks within the Arena?
A:Yes, the hierarchy will be determined by the Arena Master. Once you take part in an Arena battle with your Arena Character you become part of that hierarchy, your arena rank will be put in your signature. Also, feel free to keep a win loss record along with it.
Q:How many characters can I have for the Arena?
A:You may have one for each system.
Q:Am I able to fight one of the Death Machines?
A:Its your funeral.
Q:Am I able to bet on other people's fights?
A:Yes, you may. The Arena Master will be the one who determines the pay output and what you can buy with your gold.
Q:May I make bets with other characters?
A:Go ahead
Q:How many battles can be held at once?
A: Only one.
Q:Only ONE? What am I supposed to do while the Arena is in use?
A:Yes, only one. You are able to watch the fight, and interact with Arena NPCs and other PCs.
Q:What NPCs am I able to interact with?
A:Well, there are misc. spectators, the Arena Master's in-character Arena Master character, any Arena staff. I'm hoping that the Arena's NPCs will end up being very detailed, and develop some sort of bond with the PCs they often interact with. Given enough experience in the arena, a PC may develop a fan base, or possibly enemies within the Arena.
Q:What are the requirements to become the Arena Master?
A:You must be an active member, have some idea how to flesh out NPCs and be able to think beyond just the combat. Preferably someone with GM experience, though thats not required.
Q:What are the perks to being an Arena master?
A:Well, you get to run your own board. Hell, this has its own CATEGORY. You become a staff member, and are given access to the not-so-secret-but-well-hidden staff only board. You also get the one-of-a-kind rank of Arena Master, a four red star position.
Q:How much time passes between each fight, ICly?
A:Not quite sure how to answer this. I'd say that there could be about five fights a day, however less is doable. I wouldn't do more than that. It may very well be a week between fights, or it may be an hour. It all depends on the Arena Master, the Characters, and the Challenged.
Q:what levels would the characters start at?
A: A STARTING character is usually FIRST level
