Stephan lets out a laugh. "You're too gullible, really. It's just a graveyard."

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up."
Why on earth is this town apparently on the other side of a graveyard? And when is all this fog going to clear up? Does it EVER clear up? Whatever's in that box better be goddamn important.[/i]

Stephan stands up and brushes himself off. "On the bright side, town can't be. . too. . .much. . .far. . ." He trails off mid-sentence, and starts walking farther into the graveyard. "Hello?"

"Hello? What, did you see someone?" Something? I suppose that would be the cliche followup line. Perhaps even "I don't think we're alone out here".
Eric looks around and listens carefully, but somehow suspects that this may be his leg being pulled once more.[/i]

You see the outline of someone in the fog, towards where Stephan is walking.
She looks so familiar. . .

Eric is surprised when he actually sees someone in the fog.
This person's probably from the town - maybe they'll know if we're getting close. On the other hand, it might be an eeeevil zombie, out for our brains. Should have brought some holy water. And a flashlight.
Eric approaches the person, catching up to Stephan.
"Hello? You from Silent Hill?"
Perception to try and see more detail -> 3,9,1,6,2 -> 2 successes

The shape looks up at you, and you can tell it's a young woman, no older than twenty five. She shakes her head. "No, but it's not far. I wouldn't go there though."

Worrying...
"Why wouldn't you? Is there something wrong with Silent Hill, apart from the general creepiness of this whole area?"

Wait WHAT? If noone's even been there in ages, then how is there a bank with safe deposit boxes there? And if there isn't, why did he tell me to get one? As some sort of posthumous joke? Or is there more going on?[/i]
"But that doesn't make any sense - nothing I saw prior to driving out here when I looked the place up made it sound like anything but yet another ski resort town. How could it have been abandoned without anyone noticing?"

"I never said it was abandoned." She stands and you see her face clearly, her eye sockets are empty. she turns, and starts walking off slowly, into the fog towards town.

Shivers runs up Jack's spine as he watches the exchange with the... zombie lady? "I think this just got too weird for me to stay calm. I've seen too many horror movies to not know what happens next."
"Is it me, or did anyone ELSE notice the lack of eyeballs in her eye sockets?"
He takes out his revolver and opens up the cylinder, which appears empty. He takes out a box of ammo and begins filling all 6 slots. Once hes done, Jack puts the pistol back in its holster.

Eric's reaction is a biiiit more immediate. Especially since his phobia may be coming into play depending on just how the eyeless one is drawn. "Oh WHAT THE SHIT!" He recoils, backpedals, leaps a few feet into the air, you get the idea. After the thing has disappeared back into the fog, he begins quickly looking around every which way as he tries to retain his lunch."What the fuck was that? What the fuck is this place? Are there any more of them? Fuck!"He also suddenly feels a bit more comfortable with the guy who has a gun - at least if they have a gun, whatever the fuck that was can't just eat them. Well... if bullets work on it. That remains to be seen. He doesn't particularly want to see.

"Well shit. . ." He leans down and slides his dagger out of it's strap, under his right pant leg. "Looks like we're not in Kansas anymore. . ."

"Fuck you for saying that line, I hated that movie."
Jack takes out his notepad and writes down some notes.
Freakish lady in graveyard, possible missing victim, must check out and confirm. No eyeballs.
He then takes out his pistol.
"So... shall we head forward?"
