It has been a few weeks since their last mission. Stephan is fully recovered form his "incident" and SG-15 is given their next mission. In the briefing room sits everyone on the team and General Hammond at the head of the table. Opening his folder he starts to talk."Last week SG-13 was sent to the planet that you visited. It appears that Jaffa presence has increased somewhat and more are on their way. We suspect that the device the villager leader was using is the only link between them and the Jaffa army. Your mission is to find this device and disable it and any other technology that would seem a threat to the SGC. Any questions?"

Joran inspects his copy of the Intel report they had been given, then looks up
"Correct me if I'm wrong, sir, but as I understand it the Goa'uld possess more advanced technology than the nations of Earth, no offense intended. If that is the case, would it not be more logical to recover these devices, rather than merely destroying them? After all, they surely have the means to produce more, and with a copy of the device in your hands you could at least begin the process of analysis and reverse engineering."

General Hammond is quick to respond."Joran, we have tried on many occasions to reverse engineer such technologies without success. If you think you are capable of doing so, then I suggest you capture it. If not your orders are to destroy it."

"So, first priority is denying the enemy the technology, recovery is to be attempted if plausible but is not a major concern; safety of the team is paramount. Thanks for the clarification, General."
