"Sylander, there is a thing I think you need to learn about marines: We were BORN ready!"

Two zerglings charge Dmitri, the other two charge Sylander.

Dmitri holds till the last second, then unleashes a pair of swings at the charging zerglings just as they lunge towards him, aiming to use their own momentum against them. "This had better work..." He slashes! The first zergling is cloven in two, and then he stabs the blade deep into the throat of the other.

"Foolish zerg are nothing to my shield. Now you shall die as many of your brothers have."Sylador slashes both zerglings with his psi-blades. He jams the first blade into the head of the first zergling and cuts down. At the same time his other balde cuts the back legs of of the zergling but he suddenly thrusts up cutting it in two."Again, too easy but i feel like some target practice at the shooting range. How about you Dimitri?" He brings down his shield.

Dmitri shrugs. "Maybe later, okay? I think I'm about done for now." He tosses his sword onto the rack and walks to the armory to take off his armor.

"Okay, guess I will just go to the barracks and wait there until Kriget gets back."He walks off towards the Protoss baracks. Once he gets there he lays down and sleeps.

Kriget walks down the corridor and into Raynor's office"Jim, we've got a problem. They're unaware of us, as of yet, however they're starting up a hive nearby. If we allow it to grow, we'll be trapped here, they'll no doubt be more than we can handle if we let this keep on more than a week. If we take it out today or tomorrow, Kerrigan will know we're here but we'll have time to evacuate. Sir, its a lose-lose situation but I recommend we take then out now." Jim looks up from his desk and looks at Kriget, and started to talk"Well then, we'll need to attack. But we won't be able to evacuate, there is nowhere to evacuate to. Looks like we're on the offensive for awhile. I want you to assemble a small task force, if its really that bad we'll need to make sure we have some men with us here at the base."

Three hours later a voice booms over the loudspeaker. It's Kriget."The following army personnel are to report to the briefing room. Syllander, Dmitri, Ricky, Zentalai, Keldor, Werner. Jim Raynor will be briefing you on your mission."

Syladar is laying in his bunk when he hears the announcement. He gets up and heads towards the briefing room."I wonder what Kriget found. I hope it is a bunch of zerglings. I can handle them easy now."He snickers as he enters the briefing room.

Dmitri enters the briefing room, and snaps a quick salute to Raynor before taking a seat. "MSgt Karov, reporting as ordered, sir!" "Finally, some action."

Raynor stands at the head of the room in front of a large screen."Now that you're all assembled, I'd like to tell you why we're all gathered here. Kriget was scouting the surrounding area earlier, and what he found puts us in dire peril. Less than a mile to the south-west, on a cliff that we can only access from one side with any ground units, lies a budding hive. With this as the case, I've had Kriget select the best candidates for the assault. No one in the base knows about this who is outside of this room at the time, and it is to stay that way. Bones and I will be accompanying you on this mission. From what Kriget has told me, the hive is fairly small. It consists only of a spawning pool, a hatchery, and a hydralisk den. If we take out the Hatchery, the surounding creep will die withing minutes, destroying the den and spawning pool. After this attack, Kerrigan will know we're here and we'll need to move fast. Once we destroy this hive, we'll move in with some SCVs and take all the resources we can, but after that we'll need to get out of here. Any questions?"

"Sir, I have a question: Why are we heading out against a hive with... elven people, assuming you want me to take dragon army. Why not send the whole damn base out after them, they are going to move against us with extreme force no matter what we do, we might as well hit them hard and fast. After all, proportionate responses only make sense if the sides are somewhat even, and with all honesty, sir, this field is anything but. I'm willing to die if it comes to it, but this is a suicide mission, sir."
