As they enter the building, they start to look around and as the bouncers approach them, one (dressed in leathers and Indian accessories) concentrates and the bouncers suddenly topple over. As a group they move past the bodies and 3 things happen at once. 1, the volume on the music suddenly triples (those who have select sound filter and and filtered the music got a waring sign of the increase volume, those without cover your ears). 2 most of the light go out and only the violently flashing strobe lights light up the area. 3, the wall behind them splits if half as a 3 meter tall troll in full body armor (yall weren't allowed to were obvious armor) with a HMG attached to a gyro mount pushes through.

Okay, I'm using this moment to do an example fight so bear with me. First, this is a surprise round. Surprise rounds work close to regular combat but a roll is made to see who surprised who.

The surprise roll is Reaction + Initiative +/- modifiers. In this case they are:
Tank: (the troll) Reaction 3, Ini 6 +6 for waiting to ambush, +3 for being aware of his opponents = 18
Mage: (the Indian) Reaction 3, Ini 6 -6 Distracting sight, Sound, and very distracted =3
Street sam 1: Reaction 4, Ini 7, -2 distracted = 9
Street sam 2: Reaction 3, Ini 6, -2 =7
Hacker: Reaction 5, Ini 9, -6 Distracting sight, Sound, and very distracted =8
As you can see this is a very good trap.

Their rolls are:
Tank:4,1,3,4,5,1,2,4,5,3,6,1,6,5,6,4,3,1 = 7 hits (note: a hit is any roll of 5 or 6)
Mage:3,3,2= 0 hits
SS1: 3,3,4,6,6,4,2,6,4= 3 hits
SS2: 4,3,2,4,4,2,4= 0 hits
Hacker: 3,2,3,2,4,2,6,2= 1 hit
now surprise works towards enemies and allies, meaning if SS2 Shouts a waring the others can't respond to it.

After that, Ini is rolled:
Tank ini 6:6,2,3,5,4,6= 3 hits, 9 ini (Hits + Ini = combat Ini)
Mage ini6: 4,2,3,5,6,4 = 2 hits, 8 ini
SS1 ini 7: 4,1,5,1,5,6,5 = 4 hits, 11 ini
SS2 ini 6: 1,1,2,4,1,4 = 0 hits, 6 ini
Hacker ini 9: 6,2,2,3,5,6,2,3,3 =3 hits 12 ini
Although the hacker and SS1 go first they can't take any actions against Tank, so they draw their weapons and the hacker filters out the music.

Tank's turn, he fires a full burst to fire 3 rounds into the mage, SS1 and the hacker (SS2 is out of range for this attack). The attacks are rolled seperate.
Tanks modifiers are: +2 Smartgun link, -2 per target, 0 from recoil (-9 + 9points of recoil compensation) -1 glare (from the strobe lights)
his first attack is 10 dice (5 Heavy Weapon skill, 4 Aglity, +2 smartlink, -1 glare) 2,4,5,4,1,5,2,2,6,1= 3 hits The mage gets a -2 to doge (wide burst) and rolls reaction 3 2 = 0 hits 3 net hits DV = 10 DV
the mage rolls body + (AV - AP), 3 + (8-7)= 4 1,4,4,3 =0 hits takes full damage and is enough to kill him

the second attack gets a -2 rolls 8 dice 6,6,2,4,5,5,6,5 = 6 hits!
SS1 reaction is 4 -2 = 2 5,3 = 1 hit, 5 net hits DV = 12 P
Rolls 5+(8-7) = 6 2,5,6,3,6,2 = 3 hits takes 9 damage
Last one gets a -4 (third target) rolls 6 dice 5,6,1,6,1,6 = 4 hits
Hacker reaction 5 - 2 =3 4,4,3 =0 hits DV = 11P
rolls 2+(6-7, note: negative numbers are not add in) = 2 5,1 = 1 hit and takes 10 damage enough to kill

SS1 has taken 9 points of damage giving him a -3 wound modifier on all his rolls, it also drops his Ini 3 points to 8, meaning Tanks now goes first.
This time, Tank is going to fire 2 Long bursts,1 at each SS
The first one is fired at SS2 as a narrow burst adding a +5 DV My attack roll is again 10 (5 Skill, 4 AGI, 2 Smartlink, -1 glare, recoil (-5 RC 9, 4 remaining) 2,3,3,5,6,6,3,6,1,1 = 4 hits
SS2 rolls his reaction 3 5,1,4 = 1 hit 3 net base DV = 10P + 5P= 15P Rolls 5 +1+6 4,5,4,5,6,3 =3 hits takes 12 damage and dies
second shot is a wide shot and gets 4 dice (5 Skill, 4 AGI, 2 Smartlink, -1 glare recoil (-6 +4 = 2 Heavy weapon recoil is doubled 2x2=4) he uses his point of edge to add to the roll making it 5 + Rule of 6 6,5,6,3,2 =3 hits + 6,4= 4 hits Rolls reaction 4-5-3 (wound modifiers) =0 4 net hits DV=11 and that means death
